This is the second course in our VR app development pipeline which teaches you how to build your own metaverse worlds.
In this 10 week live course, you will build your own VR worlds and use advanced Unity skills such as lighting, animation, Blender decimation, using 3D assets stores, and Git and GitHub for version control. By the end of the course, students will have built 7 distinct VR worlds that they can add to their portfolio and will be prepared for the next course in the VR app development pipeline.
Course Prerequisite: This course assumes Introduction to Unity and C# Programming experience or equivalent.

January 7th - March 10th 2024.
Meetings Sunday’s from 2-3:30pm EST.
6-8 hours per week.
Introduction to Unity or equivalent foundational Unity experience.
We will be going through Unity animation, source control using GitHub, importing 3d models, lighting, Blender decimation, and Spatial world creation. This is an excellent course for those wanting to build their Unity skills in preparation for AR/VR app development and create their own metaverse worlds.
We also include optional material such as a guide on selecting a desktop or laptop specifically for AR/VR development and full tutorial series on how to build Spatial worlds and run Spatial events.
Students will be able to build VR worlds using Unity. They will understand how to use use source control for their projects, use the Sketchfab Unity plugin, do light baking, lower the poly count for 3D assets, animate assets, and use the Spatial Toolkit.
Prior experience requirements: Introduction to Unity and C# Programming experience or equivalent is recommended to be successful in this course
