Our Community Guidelines

At Universe, one of our main priorities is the safety and respect of our students. This Community Guidelines document contains the guidelines our students must follow in order to remain apart of our community.

We want Universe to be a welcoming and safe environment for our students to grow and form helpful relationships. Help us grow this community by being respectful and following the law.

We created the Community Guidelines so you know how you can help us foster our community. By using Universe, you agree to these guidelines and our Privacy Policy. We’re committed to these guidelines and we hope you are too. Violating these boundaries may result in removal from our community and our services without refund.

No hate speech or credible threats
Universe is a welcoming and positive community. We will remove content that contains personal information meant to blackmail or harass someone, targets private individuals to shame them, and repeated undesired messages. We have zero tolerance for encouraging violence or attack anyone based on their national origin, sex, gender, disabilities, identity, race, ethnicity, religion, or diseases. The only exception we may make is when hate speech is being shared to debate it or to raise awareness but users must make these intentions clear.  We also do not allow the encouragement to self injury and discuss it within our community. It is up to our discretion to review cases where we see these issues/threats and determine whether they are legitimate.

No child endangerment
Universe has no tolerance for child engagement. This includes any behavior of grooming such as by attempting to becomes friends with a minor to exploit them. We do not allow any sexualization of minors including in conversations. We will not allow the exchange or requests of any sexual exploitative imagery of minors.

‍Be honest and respectful of other members

No impersonation of others or creating accounts for the purpose of violating our guidelines or misleading others. At Universe place you cannot support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. Offering sexual services, buying or selling firearms, alcohol, and tobacco products between individuals, and medical pharmaceutical drugs are also not allowed.

No sexual content
Universe does not tolerate the sharing or dispersal of sexual content or activity. No content can be shared or discussed that involves sexual acts or nudity both digital and real.

‍Bullying and harassment
Universe will not allow bullying in its community. Users cannot promote or share content that does this. This includes behavior that can be classified as stalking, harassing, stalking, or intimidating whether to a single user or a group.

Real-world tragic events
Universe does not allow users to make fun of or monetize tragic real world events. Users cannot glorify or support these events that contain terrorism, natural disaster, human rights violations, or shootings.

‍Harmful off-platform speech and behavior
Universe expects users to maintain our values both on and off Universe. We do not tolerate users who are associated with terrorist or organized crime organizations, hate groups, and groups which violate our no child endangerment policy.

Intellectual property violations
Universe does not tolerate users violating intellectual property rights but of Universe users and others intellectual property rights. If we find content that violated these rights or receive a credible Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice or Trademark infringement removal request we can take action.

We have the option and ability to reach out and work with law enforcement if we believe it is necessary to protect those who are at risk of physical harm or threats to the public.
